On June 10th, Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile (FTS) held its second multiplier event for 2Good2Go, a KA220 VET project co-founded by the European Union. The presentation was hosted within a larger event, “From Home to Europe”, organized by CSCS (Pistoia, Italy) in Montecatini Terme, Italy. The event gathered close to 20 young businesspeople, academics, and volunteers representing organizations such as the Work Experience Agency – WEA (Dublin, Ireland), Fundacion Sieneva (Granada, Spain), the International Business and Economic Development Center -IBEDC (Tblisi Georgia), ICEM (Switzerland), University of Florence (Italy), Liverpool Hope University (UK).
The presentation included a workshop aimed at exploring the potential of waste-free SMEs in the communities of the participants. As a result of group discussions, representatives from the business setting evidenced the huge potential these notions can have among start-ups and lifelong training. Other participants from the educational setting, like the International Council for Education and Management, lauded the initiative and proposed to share the information and links to the learning platform within their network. Interest was also manifested by representatives from smaller settings, like rural communities, highlighted how the learning platform could be shared with their fellow citizens, and the need to provide examples to which citizens can relate. For example, how can this project inspire people to apply the principles of circular economy in their small businesses, schools, and even homes.
With many ideas on the table, the event was a success setting the basis for future collaborations and the will to continue soon remotely, after participants have returned to their destinations.
FTS wishes to thank the Skillman network and Valentina De Vivo (CSCS) for hosting us.
